DAY 7 in the Big Vegas house

Well, it was fairly predictable really.

With 99% of Laddies qualifiers playing day 2b, this was never going to be a rock 'n' roll day. I made it to the pool for an hour but found it was so hot that my head was actually melting into a ball of Pina Colada on the sunbed. I did my best to at least change colour, but I could only manage an hour. The plan was to wander straight down to the Laddies lounge, but I had little option but to go and shower what was left of this slowly wasting body.

There were just a few of us in the lounge and we enjoyed a couple of hours of poker, pool and giant cookies. Then they began arranging their night out and although I am sure it was only going to be for a meal, it was time for a back seat. It's not that I can't trust myself to not get bladdered before the biggest day of my life, it's just the fear of being away from what is now my 'home' with this bloody back.

I took the safe option and had yet another night in. So it was the end of 'into the wild' and then 'the bank job' for me, both entertaining films in completely different ways.

I took some advice and turned the aircon off overnight to see if it changed my comfort level. It didn't and I woke with everything-ache again which is now the norm. I have started the long process of dosing up with painkillers before breakfast and then making the long walk down the green mile to the biggest arena on the planet.

Let's pray for a superb day 8 for all Ladbrokes players, of which there appear to be hundreds left. Good luck everyone.
